Session Information

  • Counselling sessions are facilitated by trained lay counsellors, working under the supervision of registered mental health professionals.

    To request support, follow the checkout process and fill out your details. You’ll be added to our waitlist and matched with a lay counsellor as soon as one becomes available.

    Once assigned, you will be required to confirm the start of your sessions.

  • Session Duration: 1 hour

    Frequency: Typically once per week

    Platform & Scheduling: You and your lay counsellor will decide on the most convenient time and online platform for your sessions.

    1. Commitment & Communication: Please attend sessions or let us know if you are unable to— communication helps us support more people.

    2. Internet & Personal Space: Sessions are online so you'll need internet access and a quiet, private space.

    3. Consent: You’ll need to sign a consent form confirming your understanding of confidentiality, note that sessions will be recorded (only accessible to the counsellor and supervisor).

    4. Eligibility: You must be 18+ to join 🔞. We'll also ask for some basic personal information to meet ethical and legal requirements for providing counselling services.

    Community clinic/ hospital psychological services:

    Psychological services are available through your community and/ or district clinic &hospitals. Contact your local clinic and if there is no psychologist at the clinic, they will refer you to your nearest district clinic or hospital.
